Thomas M. Christy

Thomas M. Christy, 37, of Lake Mary, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Tom was born June 6, 1985, in Pittsburgh, a son of Marjorie J. (McGuire) Christy, of Brackenridge, and Thomas L. Christy, of South Buffalo Township. Tom is a 2003 graduate of Freeport Area High School where he was a member of the hockey and soccer teams. He also graduated from WyoTech, where he received his accreditation in automotive technology. Tom was employed as a service technician at Haas Factory Outlet in Tampa, Fla. He traveled all over the state to repair Haas machines. Tom had a great passion for cars and motorcycles. In addition to his parents, Tom is survived by his sisters, Michelle Russell, of Tarentum, and Pamela and Brad Rowan, of Natrona Heights; three nephews, Connor, Wyatt and Sage; and four nieces, Kyanne, Passion, Hannah and Skylar. Tom is also survived by his girlfriend and love of his life, Jamie. Tom was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Lois Christy; and his maternal grandparents, Harold and Virginia McGuire. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St. in Freeport. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, in the funeral home, with Pastor Eric Damon officiating. Graveside services will be held in Sarverville Cemetery in Buffalo Township.
