Thomas J. Kisiel , 74, of Sarver, passed away on March 30, 2026 at Forbes Regional Hospital. He was also affectionately known as Smooth, Fup and Bear to all of his friends and family. Tom was born on August 5, 1951 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, PA and was the son of the late Leon and Bernice Sowa Kisiel. Tom attended Freeport High School, graduated in 1969 and then attended Penn State University. He spent most of his career at Oberg Industries where he retired in 2016. Tom enjoyed traveling in the motor home especially to Penn State games where his favorite past time was cheering on his beloved Nittany Lions. When not working, Tom could often be found on his tractor on his family farm. Tom is survived by his companion of 40 years, Karen Moon of Sarver, his sister Lucy (Edward) Mahdik, of Natrona Heights; step-children Cheryl Moon of Economy Borough, Terri Sue (Kevin) Kutzavitch of Moon Township; step-grandchildren Gina Sirianni and Morgan and Kendall Kutzavitch; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Leonard and Walter Kisiel and sister Sophie Haberman. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. - 1p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High Street, Freeport. A parting prayer service will be held at 1 p.m with Father Dan Blout officiating.
