Timothy Allen Gifford, Jr., 54, of Cheswick, died suddenly Monday, September 4, at Allegheny General Hospital after an accident at home. He was the son of Richard and Sandra Moon, of Buffalo Twp. and the late Timothy Gifford, Sr. Tim was born September 23, 1968, in Natrona Heights and grew up in Buffalo Township. He graduated from Freeport High School and attended Theil college and the University of Pittsburgh. He was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 66 and took great pride in his job. He made many friends throughout his life and will be remembered for always lending a helping hand where needed and his great sense of humor. His greatest loves were children, the Pittsburgh Steelers, NASCAR and his dogs. He is survived by his parents, sister Beth Silliman, his aunts and uncles, Ray and Vicki Pieranunzi, and John and Janet Rovanan, nephew Thomas Silliman (Brittany), stepsisters Cheryl Moon Sirianni and Terri (Kevin) Kutzavich, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, John and Hazel Evans, paternal grandparents, Fred and Isabell Gifford, brother-in-law, Thomas Silliman and his uncle Charles Gifford, and his beloved Granny. Family and friends will be received on Thursday September 7th, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Richard Harbaugh of Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be private.
