Ruth A. Schrecengost, 90, of Buffalo Township, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, while in the company of family members at BelAir Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lower Burrell. Ruth was born Dec. 20, 1922, in New Kensington, the daughter of the late Wavie (McClain) and William George. She was the widow of Ray H. Schrecengost St., who passed away in 1992. Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Bradley, of Natrona Heights; two sons, Ray H. (Sandy) Schrecengost Jr., of Buffalo Township, and Ronald L. Schrecengost, of Buffalo Township. She is also survived by her six granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Ruth is preceded in death by her son, David E. "Wally" Schrecengost; niece, Lisa George; three brothers; and three sisters. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, in the funeral home. Burial will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park, New Kensington.
