George W. "Happy" Stover, 74, of Freeport, passed away at 7:50 p.m., on Tuesday, December 13th, while in the company of family members, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison Twp. George was born in Freeport, on February 9, 1937, the son of the late Beatrice Rose (Patton) and George P. Stover. He worked as a Security Guard at the Wyoming Co. Hospital in Warsaw, NY for 16 years. He had also worked for the Pinkerton Security Co. as a guard at the Pittsburgh Zoo. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He attended Freeport United Methodist Church, and was a life member of the VFW Post 6648 in Freeport. George enjoyed gardening, and collecting stamps, coins, and post cards.
He is survived by his son George M. (Mary) Stover of Fairbanks, AK; his daughter Yvonne R. "Rusty" Wyse of Warsaw, NY; 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his 2 brothers Raymond "Smokey" Stover, and Jay R. Stover who died in infancy, and his sister, Ida Innes.
At the family's request there will be no visitation and burial will be private.

I love you and will always remember your kind words and encouragement you gave me. I remember how you would chase the waitress around to make sure they got their tip :) Most of all your smile and chuckle, they will always be in my heart and mind.
