My heart is hurting for your family. I have known JJ since my daughter, Rudee and he started kindergarten. Remembering when he bought her a necklace for Christmas. Always makes us smile. Recently, reconnected at scouts. What beautiful little boys. God Bless to your family. Love ,Shari Dilick Stull

I was so saddened to hear about JJ's passing. We grew up together on the same street and I have some wonderful memories of our childhood and highschool years in Freeport. Washington/Stewart street kids stick together. Up hill both ways. <3 My heart goes out to his family.

I remember first meeting JJ in elementary school and we always had a fun time at lunch, being completely ridiculous. The last time I saw him was at our 10 year reunion and he was just as funny and boisterous as before. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He will be missed. Praying for his family tonight.

We are saddened to hear of JJ’s passing. I’ve only known him as the sweet guy up the street who (in later years) always had his children with him and always had a smile on his face. May your family find strength during this difficult time.

To the family of
The loss of a loved one causes so much pain and grief. It is at a time like this that we can turn to our Heavenly Father (Psalm 83:18) for strength, comfort and hope for the future. In His word the Bible, He promises at Acts 24:15, ... “there is going to be a resurrection ...”

I was so saddened to hear of JJ's passing this weekend. Freeport Class of 2005 wouldn't have been the same without him. He sat behind me in homeroom throughout junior and senior high school, and I started almost every morning for six years with a smile thanks to JJ's infectious humor. I have many fond memories: pulling silly pranks at our lockers, celebrating birthdays a day apart, trying to persuade each other to read favorite books. Although I saw him only a few times over the years, every time I ran into him he was as friendly as the day we graduated. JJ truly had a kind soul, and my heart goes out to his family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear about J.J. In the many times we talked through conferences and other times he was at the school, he was always so friendly and easy to talk to. He always wanted the best for his kids and to help them as much as possible. I'm sure he will be greatly missed in the freeport community.

I have so many good memories of JJ ever since he moved to Freeport. From my golden whistle necklace, to our Rockin Around the Christmas Tree spectacle, fun at school dances and randomly running into each other after we graduated. JJ has always been a funny guy and a kind soul. I am so shocked and saddened by his passing. He will be truly missed. To his family and dear friends, may you be surrounded by Peace and Love, now and always.

I am so sorry for your loss. I saw JJ often from my years of shopping for annual plants and flowers at Harbison's Nursery. He was always so friendly and gave helpful advice about the hardiness of the different species. Very knowledgeable. I always enjoyed talking with him.

I was totally caught off guard when I heard that JJ passed away over the weekend. It’s been a few years since I have seen him but one thing that’s true is that he always had the biggest smile on his face. He was one of the kindest people I have ever known and when I moved to Freeport in 7th grade he was one of the first people that was kind to me right off that bat. No judgement no questions just kindness. He will be truly misssx by everyone that knew him whether it was just a brief acquaintance or lasting friendship or love. My heart goes out to his fiancée and his children and all of his family and friends that are now missing a piece of their hearts. I will pray for all of you and for JJ as well. Rest In Peace!

I met J.J. when he delivered a truck load of mums to our home for a fundraising event a few years ago. It was during an especially difficult time for our family and I recall how that brief encounter with him cheered me up. I could tell he was a shining light in the world. God bless and comfort you for the loss of a dear young man.
