Olive Mae Sherrieb, 94, of Jefferson Twp., PA, passed away at 6:00 am, Saturday, July 23rd, peacefully, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries. She is formerly of Buffalo Twp.

Olive was born in her family's home in Buffalo Twp., on November 13, 1916, a daughter of the late Mary E. (Schweitzer) and Matthew Falkner. She was the widow of Robert H. Sherrieb who passed in 1986.

Olive graduated from Freeport High School in 1937. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport. Olive was a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She enjoyed going for walks on the Rails to Trails. She was an avid music lover and loved to play the piano and the organ. She also taught herself how to play the guitar, ukulele and the banjo.

Olive is survived by her 4 sons; Mervin R. Sherrieb, of Houston, TX., Gary L. (Patricia) Sherrieb, of Findley, OH., David L. Sherrieb, of Brownsville, OH. and Bruce M. (Sharon) Sherrieb, of Freeport.
She is also survived by her 11 grand and 10 great-grandchildren.

Olive is preceded in death by her 2 sons, Harland and Rolland Sherrieb, and a grandson, Ryan J. Sherrieb. 4 brothers; William, Elmer, Matthew and Merle Falkner. 5 sisters; Lillian Cogley, Nellie Noble, Elizabeth McCafferty, Ruth Garbrick and Mildred Garbrick.

Family and friends are being received on Tuesday July 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.. at Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 27th, with Rev. James F. Neal officiating.

Burial will be held at Sarverville Cemetery Sarver, PA.
