Kenneth L. Smith, 58, of Fawn Twp., went home to be with the Lord at 10:14 am, Wednesday, June 29th, while in the company of family members, at Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.

Kenneth was born in Natrona Heights, PA on October 5, 1952, a son of Edith L. (Johnson) Smith, of Jefferson Twp. and the late Charles J. Smith. He was a member of Evangel Heights Assembly of God in Sarver.

Ken worked as a crane man at Allegheny Ludlum Steel for 37 years, retiring in 2009. He was a 1971 graduate of Highlands High School. He was a member of his church choir. Ken enjoyed working around his house, going to Cooks Forest to take in nature. He especially enjoyed his trip to Aruba with his wife last year and spend time with his family.

Along with his mother he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Darlene R. (Barnett) Smith. 2 sons Tyler J. Smith, of Fawn Twp., and Nathan R. Smith, of Natrona Heights. His daughter and her husband, April L. and Nathan Petit, of Brackenridge. His brother and sister-in-law, George William "Bill" and Pat Smith, of Selma, AL.

Family and friends are being received from Friday July 1st. from 2-7 p.m.. at Evangel Heights Assembly of God on Beale Rd. in Sarver.

A funeral service will be held at Evangel Heights Assembly of God at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 2nd, with Rev. John Kuert officiating.
