Mrs. Ina S. Shannon, 100, of Cabot, passed away at 10:30 PM, Saturday, June 20th, 2009
peacefully at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Jefferson Twp., PA. Ina is formerly of Freeport.

Ina was born in Armstrong Co. PA on September 11, 1908, the daughter of the late Harry and Dora (Schrecengost) Spang and she was the widow of Earl F. Shannon who passed in 1988.

Mrs. Shannon enjoyed needle work, traveling and spending the winters with her daughter Gloria in Arizona.

She is survived by her 3 daughter Jean Hughes of Las Vegas, NV; Louise (Richard) Sweeney of
Saxonburg and Gloria McConville of Phoenix, AZ. A brother Dale Spang of Weedville, PA and a sister, Lola (Russell) Moore of Clarmont, FL. Ina is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Smock and 12 brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are being received on Friday June 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport, PA

A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Sat. June 27th at 10:00 am with the Rev. Jack Hartman officiating

Burial will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park Lower Burrell, PA.
