Rosalia "Rosie" Bauman, 87, of Buffalo Township, passed away of natural causes Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Allegheny Valley Hospital. A native of Sarver, she was well-known and loved by the community, admired for her spirited smile and loving nature. Rosie found true joy in the love of her husband, harold during their 63 years of marriage. Their marriage was blessed with five children and six grandchildren that she cared for with everlasting love. Rosie remained active into her late 80's. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, boating and gardening. She traveled to India, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Hawii, the Bahamas, and more. A local history buff, Rosie was always on top of community news. She loved watchiing the Steelers and waving her Terrible Towel. She spent many winters in Florida. Rosie was a member and elder of Freeport United Presbyterian Church, Women's Missionary Society, Monroe Women's Club, and Saxonburg Senior Citizens. She is survived by her children, Karen (Himanshu) Shah of North Hills, Jim (Cookie) Bauman of Atlanta, GA, Betty (Chuck) Bauman of Davie, FL, and Carol (Brian) Arsenault of Virginia Beach, VA. Rose was grandmother to Justin, Briana, and Kinnu Shah, and Grant, Nicole, and Lindsey Arsenault. She is also survived by her brother Charles (Phyllis) Clark of Port Orange, FL.She was preced in death by her husband, Harold Bauman, former World War II veteran;a daughter, June Bauman; as well as her parents, Forest and Florence Clark, four sisters Lucetta Swank, Agnes Simpson, Florence Beer, and Marthat Spindler, and four brothers Allen, David, James, and Leslie Clark. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 High St. Freeport.A funeral service will follow at noon at the United Presbyterian Church of Freeport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to UnitedPresbyterian Church of Freeport, 411 High St., Freeport, PA 16229
