Marian Wanda Claypool, 95, Cabot passed away on Monday, April 10th, peacefully, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot. Wanda is formerly of Freeport Wanda was born in Freeport on August 24, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Mabyn (Spangler) and Alvie Beck. Wanda was the widow of Don E. "Spike" Claypool, Jr. who passed in 2003. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Freeport. Wanda was an avid reader. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, spending time with her family and made sure to attend as many of her grand kids activities that she could. Wanda is survived by her two daughters, Mabyn & Bill Henschel, of Buffalo Twp.; Donna & Walter Sproat, of South Buffalo Twp. She is also survived by grandchildren; Mabyn Henschel-Lynn, Brian & Katie Henschel, Walter & Jessie Sproat, Jr., Danyell & David Devich, Charles & Vanessa Henschel, Dionne & Jim Hasson. and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Auldie, John and Harold E. Beck Sr. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 12th from 5-8 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport. Service will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 10:30 am in the funeral home with her pastor, Rev. David Caves, Jr. officiating. Burial will be held in McVille Union Cemetery in South Buffalo Twp. It was such a privilege to know both Wanda and Spike and to know they were also our sons grandparents. They were both loved very much by all of their family. Wanda will be greatly missed.
