Mrs. Esther J. Ohl, 82, of Fawn Twp, passed away at 9:30 PM, Wednesday, September 9th, 2009 while in the company of family members at her daughter's residence.

Esther was born in Tarentum, PA on September 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret (Porter) Harvey. She was the widow of Harper Ohl who passed in 2001

She was a member of Pleasant Unity United Presbyterian Church in Fawn Twp.

Esther worked as a sales manager for Stanley Home Products in Pittsburgh, for more than 50 years. She was a member of the Natrona Heights Women's Club and Eastern Star. She enjoyed talking to people and being with her family.

Esther is survived by her 2 sons; Floyd Ohl of Fawn Twp and Bruce Ohl of Saxonburg. Her daughter, Darlene and her husband Gus Thompson of Saxonburg. She is also survived by her 2 grandsons; Brent Ohl, Justin Thompson, granddaughter, Samantha Ohl and a great granddaughter, Autumn Ohl. She is preceded by her brother Donald Harvey and her sister Edna Smolic-Pugh.

Family and friends are being received on Thursday Sept. 10th from 7-9 pm and Friday Sept. 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport

A Funeral Service will be held at Pleasant Unity United Presbyterian Church, Tarentum, PA, at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 12th, with the Rev. John Gehring-Andrews Officiating.

Burial service will be held in the Lakewood Memorial Gardens Indiana Twp, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Unity United Presbyterian Church 188 Millerstown-Culmerville Rd. Tarentum, PA 15084

Our deepest condolences to Esther's family. We all practically grew up with her, since she was Betty's friend and we had Stanley parties all the time when we were kids. We just talked about Esther and some other lovely Stanley ladies that we know, this past Monday. Rest in Peace dear lady.
