Mary Thelma Venturini, 86, Harrison Twp. formerly of Freeport, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 10th, at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot. Thelma was born in Kittanning, PA on March 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Edna Harriet (Brentana) and James Bryan Shira. She was a member of Christ Our Hope Anglican Church in Natrona Heights. Thelma was a member of the Christ Our Hope Anglican Church choir, a member of the St. Mary, Mother of God, Church funeral choir, and a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed craft work, crocheting, playing bingo, and participating in the Silver Splash swimming group at the Natrona Heights YMCA. She is survived by 3 sons James (Tammy) Wylie, of Butler, David (Wendi) Wylie, of Bogart, GA, and William (Susan) Wylie, of Spring, TX; daughter Laura Wylie, of Freeport; Step-daughters Donna Venturini, of Buffalo Twp. and Nadine (James) Buterbaugh, of South Buffalo Twp.; step-sons Gary (Debbie) Venturini, of Freeport and James (LeAnn) Venturini, of Buffalo Twp.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her first husband, Robert Wayne Wylie, second husband Ronald J. Venturini, and her sisters, Glenna Donaldson, Arline Blank, Lillian Buzard and June Burd. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday June 14th from 5-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. Funeral services will be held in Christ Our Hope Anglican Church, 926 Painter Ave. Natrona Heights, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15th, with the Rev. John Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I can remember Your mom clear back to Dave's little league days at Freeport Park, and most recently with St. Mary's resurrection choir. What a sweet soul. May Thelma rest in peace in the palm of the Lord's hand.
