Charles F. VanTine, Jr., 75, of S. Buffalo Twp. passed away on Saturday, April 22nd, unexpectedly, at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights. Chuck was born in Brackenridge, on December 22, 1941, a son of the late Margaret L. (Kerr) and Charles F. VanTine, Sr. He was the widower of Betty Jane (Madey) VanTine, who passed away in 1993. He was a member of Evangel Heights Assembly of God in Sarver. He was a painter for Pullman Standard in Butler for 20 years. He also owned and operated Chuck's Auto Repair in South Buffalo Twp. for a number of years. Chuck enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, drag racing, fixing cars, and also enjoyed listening to gospel music. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Jackie (Scott) Shaner, of N. Buffalo Twp.; 4 sons Kevin C. VanTine, of Slippery Rock, Bryan S. (Amy) VanTine, of Freeport, Rob (Jenny) VanTine, of N. Buffalo Twp., and Bradley J. VanTine, of South Buffalo Twp. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Kristy (Terry) Zimmerman, Kylee (Tyler) Newman, Robbie (Molly) VanTine, Carly VanTine & CoriAnne VanTine; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers Richard (Sandy) VanTine, of Buffalo Twp., Larry VanTine, of Trenton, NJ, and David (Kathy) VanTine, of West Winfield Twp., 2 sisters Maxine (Rudy) Cannaco, of Cheswick, and Deborah (Steve) Horvath, of Porter, IN. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Brezenski and his brother Ronald L. VanTine.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday April 25th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Bogaczyk officiating. Burial services will be held in McVille Union Cemetery on Wednesday April 26th at 10:00 a.m. followed by hymn singing and refreshments at 11:15 a.m. in Evangel Heights Assembly of God 120 Beale Rd Sarver. All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport, PA 16229.

So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I have so many fond memories of him working on cars with me, hunting and snowmobiling with me and my Dad, listening to their stories and laughing. I hope they are laughing together again in heaven. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Bless you all.
