Ronald K. Bowser, 70, of Gilpin Twp., passed away on, Sunday, April 22nd, while in the company of family, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Ronald was born in Natrona Heights on October 15, 1947. He is the son of the late Mildred A. (Snyder) and William K. Bowser. Ron worked for 30 years as a pipe fitter at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in West Leechburg and Bagdad plants. Ron retired in 2007. Ron was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Freeport. Ron was a member of the Gilpin Rifle Club and the Schenley American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, wood working and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Ronald is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 51 years, Linda C. (Mohney) Bowser. Son, Keith Bowser. Daughter and son in law, Shelley & Terry Leech, and 2 grandchildren, Tara & Tyler Leech all of Gilpin Twp. Ronald is also survived by two sisters, Jean & Lynn Gibbs, of Lower Burrell, Sandy & Robert George, of Gilpin Twp., and his faithful dog, Molly.  Ron is receded by his sister, Donna Behrik. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 25th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport, PA. Funeral service will be held in on Thursday, April 26th in the funeral home at 10 am with Rev. Gary Lyon officiating. Burial will be held in McVille Union Cemetery in South Buffalo Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: UPMC Transplant Services 3459 Fifth Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15213
