Donald P. Geibel, 83, of Winfield Township, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, peacefully at Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg. Don was born in Herman on Nov. 25, 1934, a son of the late Dorothy (Miller) and Henry Geibel. Don was a carpenter with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters for many years. Don enjoyed traveling, woodworking, cutting grass and yard work. Donald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sarah E. (Stewart) Geibel; two daughters, Donna and Paul Jahn, of Butler, and Roseann and Donald Zirnsak, of Connoquenessing; and son, Donald J. Geibel, of Butler. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Newton, Becky Jahn, Joel Tebay Sr., Sean and Darlene Montgomery and James W. Montgomery Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Fiona Newton, Jacob Davis, Joel Tebay Jr., Alexander and Stephine Montgomery, Zachary and Seanna Montgomery, Wesley Montgomery and Brenda Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Brenda Montgomery; five brothers, James, Regis, Henry, A.M. "Curly" and Francis "Pete" Geibel; and four sisters, Dorothy Thoma, Marjorie Weber, Leona Davis and Joann Alwine Geibel. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St. in Freeport. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, with Pastor Adam Clever of United Presbyterian Church of Freeport officiating. Burial will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park in New Kensington.
